We hear about “uncertaintly” from business leaders on a daily basis. They can’t plan ahead and they can’t hire anybody. As if any business was ever about certainty.
So the unemployed took over where businesses have left off. There’s a $2 trillion shadow economy where people work for cash.
Good article. If anything, there’s less uncertainty now that the government got into business of bailing out failing companies.

A very interesting take on a common misconception.
Thank you. And I do think it’s a trend to watch. They essentially have delevered, downgraded their living conditions and found jobs for cash and under the radar. They had a miserable 5 years but in the process they became survivalists.
